Narwhals with sensors discovered warm Atlantic waters in Greenland fjords
Scientists from the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources equipped six narwhals with satellite sensors measuring temperature, salinity and depth. Research conducted in the Kangertittivaq fjord system on Greenland's east coast — the world's largest of its kind — revealed the presence of warm Atlantic water in locations inaccessible to ships and humans. Results were published in "Science Advances."
