RedHook Android malware drains bank accounts via wireless ADB access
Cybersecurity firm Group-IB has detailed an enhanced version of the RedHook Android remote access trojan, which gains high-level system permissions via wireless Android Debug Bridge (ADB) to secretly drain victims' bank accounts. The malware includes multiple anti-detection functions. Originally targeting users in Vietnam, it is now expanding to Indonesia and other parts of Southeast Asia.
