Spain's €1bn ghost airport reopens after 14 years empty
Ciudad Real airport in Spain, which cost €1 billion to build, stood empty for 14 years after going bankrupt in 2012. It became a symbol of the country's construction-boom excess and was dubbed a "ghost airport". The facility is now being revived and is set to welcome passengers again.
